Henry W. Brademeyer was born in Illinois in 1858, died in 1940. He married Louise Meyer and came to Taylor to homestead in 1884. Brothers to the couple, Charley Brademeyer and Hank Meyer also homesteaded about that time.

Henry and Louise were leaders in their community, being instrumental in organizing the Evangelical Church in Taylor, now the United Church of Christ. Of their eight children, five lived to maturity. They are as follows:

Their children are: Lucinda, Mrs. Gilmer McMartin who purchased the Christen store in Taylor, and retired in 1974, (two children, Colleen, Mrs. Jerry Kearnes, in California (two children), and Marlys, Mrs. Ken Weatherwax, of York, Mont.

Irvin, (1893-1968) married Hilda Weappa in 1918 and farmed until retiring into Taylor and later moved to Arizona. Their children are: Ora, Mrs. Walter Schmidt, or Goodrich, N.D.
