ARNOLD AND ETHEL KNUDSON
Arnold Knudson was born on a farm south of Taylor Jan. 18, 1893.

His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Knudson. His father homesteaded on the farm where they lived. This farm is now occupied by John Hardmeyer. Arnold attended a rural school of Stark Co.
Ethel Knudson was born on a farm south of Bismarck. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Small.
Mr. Small had filed on a homestead where they lived. This farm is now occupied by his grandson, Walter Small. Ethel attended the Burleigh County School and Bismarck High School and Dickinson State College. She taught school a number of years and on Feb. 10, 1919 she married Arnold Knudson.
They lived on the Abe Knudson farm and later bought it from him. They are still living on the farm. Sec. 28, T. 139, R. 93.

The family consisted of three children: LaVern (Mrs. Elmer Kruger) of Eleva, Wis., Doris Mae (Mrs. Eddie Schatz) of south of Richardton, and Rodger Knudson of Renton, Wash.

They have 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. They celebrated their 50th anniversary Feb. 10, 1969 at the Taylor Lutheran Church.
