ADAM KUNTZ FAMILY
Adam Kuntz was born Aug. 17, 1928, the son of John and Celestine (Olheiser) Kuntz. He grew up on a farm 16 miles southeast of Dickinson and attended rural schools. He has eight brothers and sisters: Mrs. Eva Weiler, Henry, Fred, Leo, Mrs. Dewey Guenthner (Shirley), Peter and Markus, all of Dickinson, and Mrs Eugene Fitterer (Rose) of New England.

On Nov. 3, 1949, he entered into marriage with Rose Mary Miller, who was born April 6, 1929, to Joseph M. and Roe Mary (Hutmacher) Miller. Rose grew up on the family farm nine miles southeast of Dickinson and attended rural schools. She has eleven living brothers and sisters: John of Yakima, Wash.; Mrs George Weiler (Laura) of Dickinson; Mrs. Henry Kuntz (Elizabeth) of Dickinson; Joseph of Cutbank, Mont.; Mrs. Bill Tormaschy (Dorthy) of Gladstone; Mrs. Victor Tormaschy (Lucille) of Richardton; Mrs. Richard Wehner (Evelyn) of Dickinson; Frank of Lefor; Arthur, on the family farm southeast of Dickinson; Mike of St. Paul, Minn.; and Mrs. Andy Machunze (Kathenne) of Dickinson.
Adam and Rose lived on a farm owned by his father until 1955. In 1955 they rented a farm (four quarters) 32 miles northwest of Dickinson, which they later bought. They now own 1,000 acres and rent another 1,100 acres.

Three children were born to Adam and Rose: Kathleen, born Sept. 20, 1950, married Akbar Djenab on May 25, 1970, works for the federal government in Washington, D.C.; Florian, born March 15, 1952, married Deborah Meduna on Nov. 9, 1973, farms with his father, and James, born Dec. 16, 1953, married Patricia Warren on May 23, 1975, and works for Dickinson Ready Mix. They also have three grandchildren: Ryan and Cory, sons of Florian and Deborah; and Kan, daughter of James and Patricia.
