RAYMOND AND VIVIAN FROEHLICH
Vivian Florence Dukart Froehlich, fourth child of Frank and Monica Sticka Dukart, was born May 21, 1943. She attended St. Pius Grade School of Schefield and graduated from St. Mary's High School at New England, N.D. in May, 1961. She married Raymond W. Froehlich, son of Bill and Wilhelmina Kuntz Froehlich on December 27, 1961.

Her husband Ray attended grade school at a country school near his farm for four years, then attended St Joseph's School in Dickinson and St. Pius at Schefield. He graduated from Dickinson High School in 1959. In 1963 he graduated from the State School of Science in Wahpeton, N.D. in the field of architectural drafting and estimating. Moving to Brookings, S.D., the same year, he had accepted the position of an engineering technician with the city of Brookings. Over the years he has designed and drawn many building plans for the city and residential and commercial plans for private individuals. Presently he serves as president for the City Employees Credit Union, director for the Building Officials and Code Administrators of South Dakota, director of the St. Thomas Moore Cemetery Board. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Ray's hobbies are many including hunting, fishing, landscaping, antique collecting and carpentry.

During the years Ray and Vivian have purchased apartments which they have remodeled and rented.
Vivian has worked as a bookkeeper for the Red Owl Grocery Store since 1968. She serves as past president of the Association for Retarded Citizens, counselor for the Jr. Catholic Daughters and is active in the church guild and the Senior Catholic Daughters. She enjoys gardening, house plants, sewing, playing cards, dancing, and playing the organ.

Vivian and Ray have three children. Annette Mane born October 1, 1962, Sherrilyn Mane born October 25, 1963, and David Allen October 25, 1965. Their children are all presently attending the Brookings Schools. Annette has won many purple ribbons in her 4-H work and is active in the high school gymnastics team and high school band David enjoys baseball and has been on the championship team for two out of three years. Sherrilyn enjoys singing and playing her auto harp.
