ERNEST AND MARIE WIEGLENDA
Ernest Wieglenda was born May 11, 1911, the son of Paul and Clara Wieglenda. He grew up on the family ranch.
He went to mechanic school in Fargo, N.D. and eventually purchased stock in the Lefor Garage in the spring of 1938.
Ernest Wieglenda was united in marriage to Marie Herold on Oct. 13, 1938.
Ernest had a natural talent to work with tools. His techniques for repairing tractors, trucks and machinery were a great asset to the community. Ernest and Marie lived in Lefor for five years, but due to poor health, they moved to the ranch. They purchased it and expanded. They lived there until 1969, when they moved to Dickinson. Ernest enjoyed fishing and hunting. In Dickinson he maintained the machines at the bowling alley until his death Jan. 26, 1974.
