WILLARD L. WOCK
Willard Lawrence Wock was born Dec. 9, 1930. He is the second son of Mike Wock. (See story about Mike Wock under George Schmidt).

He received his education in a rural school and because he was needed at home he continued his education there.

June 1, 1954 he married Elizabeth Schwartz, daughter of Carl Schwartz. They lived on the family farm, north of South Heart. October of that year they moved to their farm (960 acres) where they have lived the past 23 years, located S.W. ΒΌ-sec. 2- 140-97. This piece of land was homesteaded by Frank Hecker, 1904. He sold the land to his son, Joe Heckler, who farmed here for many years until he moved to a farm south of Belfield. Mike Wock, brother to Mrs. Joe Hecker, acquired the farm in 1944 and later sold it to his son, Willard.

Willard and Elizabeth had nine children: Kathy 22, living in Hawaii; Willard Peter Jr. 21, working in Rugby, N.D. (runs a caterpillar); Tom 18, serving in the army; Jim 16; Jon 14; Paul 11; Wanda 10; Mary seven and Greg five.
