WILLIAM L. ROYER
Mr. William L. Royer came to Taylor, 1905 from McConnell, Ill. He was born in Pennsylvania in 1854 and married Lizzie LeClair.

He erected a feed barn in 1906, a large one 40 X 50 with buggy sheds and other buildings. He erected the feed barn to accommodate the many farmers who came from a distance and required feed, rest and shelter for their tired animals. Spencer Bobb remembers putting his horse here while he attended school. Mr. Royer acquired a good trade and had a wide acquaintance with the farmers of Stark and Dunn Counties.

Mr. Royer also dealt in hard and soft coal. Some came from Bear Creek Mine in Montana and proved to be a very good grade of coal.

He remodeled the old laundry building into a modern seven-room dwelling house.
