LOREN MYRAN FAMILY
Loren A. Myran, son of Helge and Laura Dohrmann Myran, was born on Oct. 1, 1945 in Dickinson, N.D. He attended grade and high school in Taylor, N.D. and graduated from North Dakota State University in 1968 with a B.S. in agricultural economics, and a minor in agronomy. As Loren attended college he was also engaged in farming his parents' farm.
Lois Haugen Myran, daughter of Leo and Bernice Elkins Haugen, was born on Mar. 28, 1947 in Dickinson, N.D. Lois attended grade and high school in Taylor, N.D. and graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn, with a B.S. in elementary education in 1968.
Lois and Loren were married Dec. 28, 1968 at the Taylor Lutheran Church. After their marriage Lois and Loren lived on his parents' farm, four and one-half miles north of Taylor. This farm originally belonged to his maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Dick Dohrmann. Later they purchased Loren's paternal grandparents', Nels and Karen Myran, farm.
Lois has taught in the Dickinson School District. She taught at Gladstone Elementary for eight years, and is currently teaching at Lincoln Elementary in Dickinson.
Lois and Loren adopted their son, Nels Anthony Myran. Nels was born on May 28, 1974.
