ALBERT HELGESON FAMILY
Albert and Mabel (Nelson) were married 1924, and farmed north of Taylor. They moved to Taylor in 1934. At that time, Albert took over the Star Mail route. 1938, Albert worked for the government as a surveyor. Albert and Mabel also ran the local café for two years. Albert also worked a few years in the Taylor Post Office under John D. Leadon. They purchased the Texaco Service Station, 1941. from Sayle Ward and Ben Goding. It was then known as Al's Service. He took on the Massey Harris Machine Dealership, 1948. At this time Al's Service became C&H Implement. Duane and Margery Christensen became partners with Albert and Mabel Helgeson. In 1957 they moved to Dickinson, and went in partnership with Marvin and Lorraine Moos, purchasing the Morsel Bakery, changing the name to the Baker Boy Bake Shop. 1958, the C & H Implement was sold to the Zillich Bros. (Frank and John). 1969, sold their share of the bakery to the Mooses. At the present time Albert and Mabel are still the bookkeepers at the Baker Boy Bake Shop.

Albert and Mabel had three girls, Margery, Lorraine and Alicemae. Margery was born Sept. 11, 1925. She attended rural school for three years and then graduated from Taylor High School, 1943. She married Duane Chnstensen, June 1943 and lived south of Taylor on the Chnstensen farm for about a year. They moved to Taylor, working for Al's Service; 1948, went into partnership, forming C&H Implement. Margery and Duane had four children; Charlene, Denver, Lynda and Kean. Moved to Billings, Montana, 1956 and Duane went to work for Montana Sulphur and Chemical Co., and is still with the same company (Christensen children in Anders Christensen history).
Lorraine was born March 24, 1929; graduated from Taylor Public School. She had attended all 12 years there. She also went to DSC for two years, worked at the postal service for three summers. She married Marvin Moos, Dec. 3, 1950. They had three children: Todd (passed away at birth), Midgie and Guy. Marvin and Lorraine moved to Minot 1951 as manager of Oppens Bakeries, then in 1955 moved to Hebron and started the Baker Boy Bake Shop. 1957, moved the bakery to Dickinson and went info partnership with Albert and mabel Helgeson. They bought out Albert and Mabel's share of the Baker Boy Bake Shop, 1969. Marvin and Lorraine have formed a Baker Boy Corporation with their two children, Midgie and Guy.
Todd was born on Nov. 4, 1951. He passed away at birth.
Midgie was born on Dec. 11, 1953. She attended Dickinson Public Schools for 12 years, attending DSC for two years, and attended Pacific LutheranUniversity for one year. Midgie is self-employed al the Baker Boy Bake Shop and other outlets. She married Richard Anheluk Oct. 8, 1973. He is county court reporter for Stark Co.
Guy was born Dec. 16, 1955. He attended Dickinson Public Schools for 12 years. He is manager of the Baker Boy Pizza & Café. He is also self-employed at the other Baker Boy Inc. outlets.
Alicemae was born Feb. 26, 1934. She attended 12 years of school at Taylor, one year at DSC and taught one year south of Hebron. She married Victor Sattler June 9, 1954. They farmed the Adam Sattler farm, north of Taylor for about a year. Then they moved to Portland, Ore. Vic worked as a machinist, transferred to Yakima and lived there about four years. They have four children; Cozette, Vicki, Chad and Tamara. They were transferred to Seattle and both work for Boeing. They live at Des Moines, Wash.
Cozette was born in 1955. She graduated from Federal Way High School in Washington, also attended Jr. College and worked for Seattle city office. In 1976 she attended DSC School of Nursing 11 months. She graduated as an L.P.N. She is living in Des Moines, Wash.
Vicki was born June 26, 1956. She graduated from Federal Way High School. She has been working in a bank in Federal Way. Feb. 21, 1976 she married Mike Sherer. Mike works for Pacific Power Co. Vicki works for a Bellevue Bank. They live in Bellevue, Wash.
Chad was born Aug. 25, 1958. He graduated from Federal Way High School. He works for Boeing, and lives at home.

Tamara, born Feb. 6, 1960, is a senior at Federal Way High and lives at home.

In 1934, Albert's mother (Caroline Helgeson) moved with Albert and Mabel to Taylor, to make her home. She passed away July 1951, age 92.

In 1938. Mabel's father (Martin Nelson) moved in to make his home with the Helgesons. He passed away 1953, age 76. His hobby was planting trees, gardening, etc. He also made a road with a shovel and wheel barrow in east Taylor.

Doran Nelson (brother of Mabel) also made his home with Helgesons until he was married.
