IRVIN AND HILDA BRADEMEYER
Irvin and Hilda (Weappa) of Sebeka, Minn. Were married in Dickinson in 1918. He was drafted into the U.S. Army Infantry, World War I and served in training in Georgia. He survived the Black Flu which claimed the lives of many of his buddies and left him with the beginnings of multiple sclerosis. He returned home and farmed seven miles north of Taylor until 1939 when he was forced to retire for health reasons. He served as trustee of the Evangelical and Reformed Church. Was a director of the local grain elevator, sang in the church choir and in quartets for many years. He owned a threshing machine and did custom threshing in the neighborhood.

They raised four children on the farm. Ora, Mrs. Walter Schmidt, now of Goodrich, N.D., was taken to Taylor by her father for schooling until he got the district to see the need to start bus routes. She graduated from Taylor High School and Dickinson State Teacher's College, taught school and is still teaching music, giving piano lessons. They have five children and three grandchildren.

Ann, Mrs. Lester Jacobs, now of Temple, Ariz., graduated from Taylor High School and Dickinson College and taught school. Lester graduated from Taylor. Both were active and held several offices in the church. He served in the US Infantry in WW II in the South Pacific. He graduated from Wahpeton School of Science, worked with John A. Mischel of Richardton wiring many farm homes for REA. He purchased the Standard Oil Station from Dick Kickul and the bulk station from Joe Lautz. He drove the bulk truck for 14 years hauling gas and oil to farmers. He was clerk of the Taylor School Board for several years. He worked for the community in Lion's Club and V.F.W. They have two children, Gary and Nancy. Gary graduated from Taylor High School, served as a flight nurse in the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam War, and is now a nurse anesthetist in Jamestown, N.Y. He met his wife, Vicki, also a nurse in Vietnam, and they have two children. Nancy is married to Gene Redmond, has one daughter, and lives in Minneapolis, Minn. In 1965, Lester moved his family to Phoenix, Ariz. Where he now resides and is employed as Electronic Test Technician for Airesearch.

Melvin graduated from Taylor High School, attended DSTC and served in Italy in the Army Infantry during WW II. He graduated from the State School of Science in Wahpeton, where he met and married Hazel Hendrickson. They moved to Tacoma, Wash. Where they operated an appliance and repair store for 15 years. They moved to Westport, Wash. Where they now live and commercial fish.
Marion graduated from Taylor and DSTC, taught school and married Edward Harding, son of Homer and Petronella Harding of Dickinson. He is a pastor of the United Church of Christ and has served in California and Illinois, where they now live. They have six children.

In 1965 Irvin and Hilda and the Jacobs moved to Phoenix, Ariz. While there the Brademeyers celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Many of the family were able to visit them there.
