L. A. SIMPSON
L. A. Simpson was born at Deer Isle, Maine, Dec. 7th, 1868, and received his early education in that state. After completing the course in law at the University of Minnesota, he was admitted to the bar in Minneapolis in 1889. In October of that year he came to Dickinson and has since resided here. Mr. Simpson is not only widely known in his profession, but has established a splendid reputation in business and journalistic circles. He was elected to the state legislature in 1892, and re-elected the following term. In 1896 he was elected state's attorney for Stark County, re-elected in 1898, finished the term, and in 1900 was elected to the state senate, to which he has been returned for the third term of four years.
