ANTON AND THERESA VOLESKY SADOWSKY
Anton, the son of Frank and Frances (Blatz) Sadowsky, was born in Dunn County, N.D., on Sept. 25, 1888. He had three younger brothers, Joe, Frank, and Louis, and one younger sister, Rose, Mrs. Anton Volesky. An older brother, Frank, was killed in his teens while dragged by a horse.
On July 4, 1911, Anton married Theresa Volesky, daughter of Jerolyn and Bridget Hall Volesky. They were married at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in New Hradec. They made their home on an adjoining farm of his parents, where they farmed and ranched until moving to Dickinson in later years.
Their only child, Vincent, was born on Aug. 2, 1912. He attended school at Sts. Peter and Paul Parochial at New Hradec, and in Dickinson. Anton and Theresa moved to Dickinson at 628 2nd Ave. West in 1934. Anton later worked as custodian at St. Joseph's Hospital until his death on Nov. 15, 1963. Theresa preceded him in death on June 5, 1949. Her surviving brothers were Joe, Anton, Vincent, Clement, and Steve Volesky, and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Sadowsky and Mrs. Gene Redmond.
