ADAM KATHREIN
Adam Kathrein was born Aug. 6, 1895 in Hungary, the oldest son of Anton and Kathenne (Neidermeyer) Kathrein. He came to America, 1904, with his parents and two brothers John and Anton, living in Glendive, Mont. for two years.

1906, the family moved to Stark Co., setting up a homestead 10 miles northeast of New England or 15 miles south of Dickinson.

When America went to war in 1917 he served in the army for a year until the armistice. When he returned he took over the family farm.

April 28, 1919 he married Lena Ochsenfeld at Dickinson. They had six children born to them. John, married Anna Gall, is living at Little Falls, Minn. Kathenne, married William Sticka (he passed away, 1974), living in Richardton. Mary, married Edward Kaufman, living at Fromberg, Mont. Joseph married Magdalen Urlacher. They living on the original homestead. William married Delores Fitterer living at Billings, Mont. and Clara married to Peter Mesling, living in Dickinson.

Adam passed away March 24, 1961.
