HENRY G. HIRNING FAMILY
Henry G. Hirning was born Sept. 21, 1893 at Neuburg, South Russia In 1902 he came with his
parents to America. They first settled at Eureka, S.D. and two years later they moved to a farm
near Willa, N.D. Henry married Louisa Aisenbrey Dec. 14, 1915. Louisa was born at Menno,
S.D. on Sept. 14, 1895. They were living in Hettinger County until 1924 and they bought the
Samuel Aman farm 18 miles north of Burt, N.D. in Stark County (Sec. 34, Twp. 137, Rge. 91).
They lived there until they both passed away.

Mrs. Hirning died Sept. 28, 1949, and Mr. Hirning died Jan. 30, 1954.
They had six children: Mrs. Fred F. Walth (Esther), Hebron, N.D.; Mrs. James A. Lange (Erna),
Belleville, Wise; Roland (deceased Feb. 12 1970) — he was married to Christina Walth, who
now lives in Dickinson; Walter, Mott, N.D.; Mrs. Gottlieb Walth (Anna) lives north of Burt,
N.D.; Ruben, Estes Park, Colo.

Mr. and Mrs. Hirning had 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. One great grandchild
passed away Dec. 15, 1961. Walter was drafted into the army in Oct. 22, 1942 and was
discharged Feb. 23, 1946.

Mr. and Mrs. Hirning were members of the Neuburg Church. Mr. Hirning was Sunday School
teacher for some years. Mrs. Hirning was a member of the Neuburg Ladies Aid. They had many
hardships during the depression years.

A grandchild (Milton Walth) now owns the land formerly owned by Mr. and Mrs. Hirning.
