JOHON ENZI FAMILY
Johon Enzi and his wife, Fredrica Buttman Enzi, from Freidenstall, South Russia came to the
United States in 1898 with their five sons: Christian, Jacob, Andreas, John and Carl. They lived
in South Dakota and near New Leipzig for a short time before settling on a farm southeast of
Richardton (14-137-91).
Andreas, the third son married Juliana Shekorsky in 1913 at Hebron. They settled on the home
place. They have seven children: Emil of Arnold, Calif.; Edward of Greendale, Wise.; Edwin,
deceased; Irma of Oahu, Hawaii; Kay of Manteca, Calif; Esther of Colfax, Wash, and Klara of
Richardton.
Andreas passed away in 1972 at 86 years of age. His wife Juliana passed away in 1976 at the age
of 83.
A daughter Klara now lives on the home place with her husband Emanuel Auch.
